SEXUAL PURITY AND ITS SEEMINGLY OBLIVIOUS VOYAGE INTO NON-EXISTENCE

So today, my sister was recounting a sad occurrence to me shared to her about a woman by a colleague.

She was in a relationship with her partner who had constantly pressured her for sex which she had always declined.

So on that auspicious day, so she went to her partner house and met him and three of his friends and unfortunately her drink got spiked after which she relapsed into unconsciousness to wake up a day after.

She got raped and sustained vaginal injuries courtesy of the incessant bleeding she underwent after the rape.

Was immensely disappointed hearing this story – No one deserves to be raped. Men should learn the act of consent even if they are in a relationship. Sex without consent is Rape and those four men should be prosecuted.

The whole trajectory just sparked a conversation between Me, my sister and my mum about sexual purity and how it almost seems like it holds no tangible credence any more.

A firm believer of the gospel, I believe Sex has been reserved for the confines of marriage by God regardless of what the present narrative might be tilting to.

I mean it is so bad that sometimes I even question if the Bible still holds any relevance considering what I come across on a daily.

The present day generation has ridiculously championed promiscuity in the façade of “Sexual liberation” and I fear for the…
